Our mission:
This working group aims to monitor and assess the ongoing developments in Web-based education with paricutlar interest and relevance to remote sensing and photogrammetry. The WG has been established in close cooperation of TC VI WG 2 ‘E-learning’. During the previous ISPRS four year period, e-learning was covered in just one working group but due to the growing awareness and influence of e-learning in education and training, it was felt that two working groups may be appropriate. Both working groups will work in very close cooperation over the next four years, but with each area of interest defined, following and supporting the resolution of TC VI/ WG2 2008:
• The development and use of innovative techniques including multimedia visualisation to be encouraged
• Public domain education software and web pages continue to be developed
