knowledge transfer

TORG’s pioneering research attracts high quality research students from around the world as well as significant funding for its new novel research facilities. TORG recognises the importance of knowledge transfer defined by the Russell Group Universities as “activities that are concerned with the generation, use, application and exploitation of knowledge and other University capabilities outside academic environments”.

With this definition in mind TORG has responded positively over the years to approaches made by stakeholders to apply their research outputs for the benefit of the non-academic community.  As a result a wide range of activity has resulted.  These include four main categories: expert advice, postgraduate courses, short courses and specific projects.
